Omiš invites you to Pirate Day, a celebration of our rich pirate heritage!

On Sunday, June 28, the entire program is pirate-themed - from sports and creative activities for children to tours of Mirabela Fortress, a pirate parade, and a grand evening concert by Miroslav Škoro in the Croatian Veterans Park!

This year, we proudly dedicate the concert to the 3rd Battalion of the 114th Croatian Army Brigade, our Omiš “Poskoci,” who are celebrating the 35th anniversary of their founding on June 28. 🇭🇷

Basketball court at Punta officially opened with a streetball tournament

On Sunday, a streetball tournament was held at the Ivan Vidović - Serva court in Punta, organized by KK Omiš Čagalj Tours and ŽKK Omiš, with the support of the Town of Omiš and the Omiš Tourist Board, marking its official opening.

Punta is a legendary place where generations of Omiš athletes grew up, and today it is a modern and representative sports court used by our fellow citizens and many visitors.

Congratulations to the organizers on a well-executed tournament, as well as to all participants and winners! Special thanks to everyone who contributed to making this event possible.

May Punta continue to be a place of sport and great memories. 🏀💙

⚓ PIRATES’ TREASURE TALES

Our great-great-great grandfathers were pirates – and Mirabela Fortress still echoes with their legendary maritime adventures!

Join us at Omiš’s most iconic pirate lookout, where breathtaking panoramic views meet stories of fearless sailors, daring battles and life on the Adriatic Sea – all told by our heritage interpreter in period costume.

Every Friday from June 12th, discover the pirate history that shaped our town!

🐚 SHELLS OF THE PAST
Fridays, 10 AM
Meeting point: Omiš City Museum

Travel back in time with our educational & creative workshop and decode a sea of symbols and hidden stories waiting inside Omiš City Museum!

Inside the museum, ancient heraldry tells tales of Omiš nobles, city leaders and Venetian families whose traces are still scattered through the old town like shells on the beach.

Finally, we’ll shift from discovering to creating. In this playful part of the workshop, you’ll design a crest that tells your own story.

Workshops are FREE. Omiš City Museum admission: 4€ (adults) / 2 € (children)
