Sunny days in Zagreb. ☀️🌿

A walk through Zrinjevac and King Tomislav Square, beautiful parks that are part of Zagreb’s famous Green Horseshoe – a series of elegant parks and squares stretching through the Lower Town.

Historic buildings, fountains, tree-lined paths and late summer sun. A perfect setting to enjoy our capital. 💚

As every year, shortly after arriving in Zagreb, we had to make a trip to one of our favourite places - Samobor. ❤️

Less than 30 minutes from Zagreb, Samobor has been a favourite weekend getaway for Zagreb locals for generations.

A relaxing walk along the Gradna stream, followed by a climb through the forest to the ruins of Samobor Old Town. The castle has stood above the town since the 13th century and had many noble owners over its long history.

And after the walk and the climb, our usual stop - kavana Livadić for baked štrukli. 😍
One of the traditional dishes of northern Croatia, made with dough and fresh cheese, and something we always look forward to when we're back.

And there is another, even more famous local specialty - Samoborska kremšnita, or the queen of all desserts!

But we're saving something for our next visit. 😅

New Zealand - Singapore - Dubai - Croatia ✈️🇳🇿🇸🇬🇦🇪🇭🇷

This is what our journey from New Zealand to Croatia looked like a few days ago.

A few flights, a Singapore stopover, several airports and a very long journey across the world. 😅
26 hours in the air, and 3 days in total, including layovers.

It’s never easy, but when Croatia is waiting at the other end - along with family, friends, late summer days at home, and the chance to welcome our guests - it’s absolutely worth it. ❤️

A little time to recharge and then we're ready to welcome our group in September!

Always good to be back. 🇭🇷

Exactly one month from today, our small group will meet in Zagreb and we'll begin our journey through Croatia together.

Croatia has more than 1,200 islands, islets and reefs, and each has its own character. Brač is one of those islands we always enjoy returning to.

Most people know it for Zlatni Rat, one of Croatia's most recognisable beaches, but there is much more to discover. Wander through the old stone streets, stop for a coffee by the waterfront in the lovely fishing village of Milna, or simply enjoy a slower pace of life.

A little fun fact – Brač is also known for its white limestone, which has been used in many famous buildings around the world, including the White House in Washington, D.C.

These beautiful photos were sent to us by family who are currently enjoying their holidays on Brač. We have to admit... we're just a little bit jealous. 😊

As a bonus, a pod of dolphins decided to join them for part of their boat ride. Not something you get to experience every day. 🐬
