GRACISCE: Secrets in the Stone ✨
In the heart of Gračišće, the walls of a 15th-century church hold a beautiful secret: dozens of old iron nails hammered between the stones. ⛪️ These weren't for construction, but for devotion. For centuries, local women placed them there as silent prayers for love, fertility, and protection. Though the original stories have faded, these tiny pieces of iron remain – carrying the weight of forgotten hopes. 💚Istria💚 is full of places with a blend of history and folklore, and this little wall is one of its most touching mysteries.
