Absolutely loved our visit to the Weald and Downland living museum. Also where they record the repair shop. Recording was in progress. We for a wave from Will but didn’t see anyone else. The rest of the museum was having a special festival and it was so interesting to talk to the craftspeople.

We had a lovely 2 nights in Haslemere which is a beautiful Village in Surrey to visit a long time friend Meryl who recently moved here from New Zealand. Great catch up and also went out for lunch with her son. After that we stayed a night in The Crown in Chiddingfold where Jordan and Alex worked a few years back. What a lovely place! So old and with such history. Carrying on we called in at Godalming and Shere where the moving The Holiday was filmed. Shere is an outstanding village

Absolutely lovely drive through the New Forest. Saw lots of wild horses and beautiful fields of heather. Very cute villages. We stopped in Burley and met the mayor. We stayed in Brockinghurst in a lovely proper BnB. Even got offered a cup of tea on arrival with a piece of cake. Next day we carried on to a few other villages. Lymington and Lyndhurst

We have been back in Totnes for a week now. Left the extreme temperatures behind thankfully. Lovely to see family again.
