Everyone talks about doing a European summer.

They imagine Croatia without even realising they are.

Turquoise water so clear it doesn’t look real.
Stone towns that glow when the sun starts to drop.
Music drifting across a harbour at midnight.
Salt drying on your skin while you laugh about something that won’t matter in a week, but you’ll remember for years.

You tell yourself you’ll do it.

When work calms down.
When the timing’s better.
When it makes more sense.

But summers don’t wait for perfect timing.

The people jumping off boats in Hvar right now do not have clearer calendars.
They just decided that this summer mattered.

There’s something about Croatia that wakes you up.

Maybe it’s the way the days stretch longer than you expect.
Maybe it’s swimming in water older than history.
Maybe it’s sitting on a dock at 1am thinking, why don’t I feel like this more often?

It’s not about escape.

It’s about remembering who you are when you’re not rushing.

One summer there can reset something in you.

You will never regret the one you said yes to.

But you might regret the one you watched from your screen.

Croatia is already glowing.
