🎬 Attention Game of Thrones fans (and history lovers)! 🐉⚔️
Did you know that we have real Westeros and Essos filming locations right on our doorstep? No need to take a dragon to get there: all these incredible sites are less than an hour from VILLA COSY Trogir in Mastrinka! 🚗👇

Here is your ultimate guide to an ultra-local “Game of Thrones” road trip:

📍 1. Trogir — The wealthy city of Qarth 🏛️
🕒 Just 10 minutes away (right across the bridge!)

In the series: This is where Daenerys looks for allies in Season 2. Her private quarters are said to be located in the beautiful St. Dominic Monastery.

Don’t miss: A stroll through its UNESCO-listed medieval streets and the spectacular views from Kamerlengo Fortress.

📍 2. Kaštel Gomilica — The entrance to Braavos 🌊
🕒 Around 25 minutes by car

In the series: This is the port where young Arya Stark arrives to become a “Faceless Man.” The famous stone bridge arcades are instantly recognizable!

Don’t miss: The picturesque charm of this 16th-century fortress built directly on the water.

📍 3. Klis Fortress — The rebellious city of Meereen 🏰
🕒 Around 35 minutes by car

In the series: Perched dramatically on the cliffs, it represents Meereen, the slave city liberated by Daenerys, where she is welcomed in triumph.

Don’t miss: The absolutely spectacular panoramic views over Split and the sea from its historic walls.

📍 4. Split & Diocletian’s Palace — The Dragons’ Dungeons 🐲
🕒 Around 40–45 minutes by car

In the series: The dark underground cellars of Diocletian’s Palace were used as the prison for Daenerys’ fearsome dragons. Its streets also hosted the battles against the Sons of the Harpy.

Don’t miss: Exploring this unique Roman palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where ancient history meets the lively atmosphere of modern cafés.

📍 5. Šibenik — The Iron Bank of Braavos 🏦
🕒 Just 1 hour away by car

In the series: The magnificent Cathedral of St. James (UNESCO) lends its features to the mysterious and powerful Iron Bank of Braavos (Season 5).

Don’t miss: Getting lost in the maze of cobbled streets in the old town and visiting the impressive St. Michael’s Fortress.

THANK YOU to Kary from Minnesota, USA, for this wonderful review of VILLA COSY Trogir! The season is off to an amazing start! 😍

"I absolutely loved my stay — stunning views, exceptional hosts, and the perfect peaceful Croatian getaway!

Villa Cosy was absolutely wonderful — I loved everything about my stay! The apartment was beautiful, spotless, comfortable, and very well equipped. The hosts truly thought of everything and were incredibly helpful, welcoming, and kind throughout my stay. The terrace and the sea view were breathtaking and quickly became my favorite place to relax with a morning coffee or unwind in the evening while enjoying the sea breeze. The location was peaceful yet only minutes away from a small grocery store, restaurants, beaches, and the beautiful town of Trogir, making it both relaxing and convenient. It was the perfect place to stay while exploring the Croatian coast, and honestly, I didn’t want to leave!" ❤️🇭🇷
