📌 5 fun facts about Kornati Islands!

1️⃣ Kornati National Park is home to 89 islands, islets, and reefs, making it the most densely packed archipelago in the Mediterranean.

2️⃣ The islands feature over 260 kilometers of dry-stone walls, constructed by hand to delineate pastures and prevent sheep from wandering.

3️⃣ There are no permanent settlements on the Kornati Islands. Most of the land owners are from the island of Murter and Dugi Otok.

4️⃣ The island of Mana served as a filming location for the 1959 movie As the Sea Rages, with set-built ruins still visible today.

5️⃣ The park shelters over 850 marine species, including dolphins, with a resident population of approximately 147 individuals.
