It all started more than 10 years ago – with an old van and the decision to try something different: explore the coastline by kayak and see if others might want to join one day.
Those first seasons were all about trying things out – exploring routes, paddling with friends, guests, making mistakes and slowly understanding how the coast really works: wind, shelter, distance, weather windows.
A few years later Ivan joined in. First as a part-time guide, then as someone who fully shared the same approach – keep it simple, stay honest to the place, and let the sea set the rhythm.
After years of running day trips and getting a better and better understanding of the area, something shifted. We realised some people (and us) want more than a nice paddle and a picnic.
That’s how Garma Expeditions came to life – not as a new “product”, but as a natural next step.
A space dedicated to multi-day sea kayak expeditions, delivered exactly the way we would want them if we were guests ourselves.
