Extraordinary wine adventure? Croatia has it, head to the Pelješac Peninsula in southern Croatia, where Edivo Vina is literally aging its wine at the bottom of the Adriatic Sea!

Known as Navis Mysterium ("The Sea Mystery"), this incredible Plavac Mali red wine is matured for up to two years inside clay amphorae and glass bottles tucked away inside a sunken fishing boat, 18-25 meters deep. The sea provides a perfectly stable temperature, complete darkness, and total silence—giving the wine an incredibly smooth, unique character.

Yeap, that is special. At least to me:)

LOOK, BUT DO NOT TOUCH!
If you’re diving or snorkeling in Croatia, and if you spot a giant, triangular shell standing vertically in the seabed. This is the Noble Pen Shell (Periska)—the largest shell in the Mediterranean, and it is critically endangered due to a devastating parasite globally.

Finding a living one today is a miracle.

🛑 Rules for Divers & Swimmers:

Never touch or move them: Even a slight disturbance can kill them.

Do not take shells: It is strictly illegal to remove any part of a periska (living or dead) from the sea, with heavy fines enforced.

Report live sightings: If you see one that reacts or closes, take a photo, note the location/depth, and report it to local marine conservationists.
