Ancient Greek wine history. If you go back 2.500-3.000 years ago Greek people already figured out how to store, serve and drink wine. Center up (amphora, storing), center right (jar, serving), center left (cup, drinking). Wine was enjoyed during 'symposium' - aka upper class gathering for exchanging ideas, gossiping etc.

When autumn kicked in this year at the Veliki Tabor castle, it was color festival, and inside local farmers sold apples, strudels, local honey, wine... After 500 years it's still impressive to hike up to hill, but not to attack, yet to shop some tasty stuff

Right time to visit Split, Croatia. Shoulder season, heat is gone, hotel prices reasonable again (~100€ p.n.), no reservations in good seafood restaurants... I envy people boarding on this cruise, 7 easy-going days of island hopping, down to Dubrovnik

Simple Dalmatian seafood in Stari Grad town (bistro Kod Damira), Hvar island. Grilled squids, Swiss chard, sun-ripe tomatoes, fresh mussels topped with garlic/parsley. Glass of bevanda (mix white wine/tap water). Plus 'old school' tablecloth. After hot summer day, my batteries are recharged back to 100%

Nice catch at Trešnjevka farmer's market (Dolac market clone) in Zagreb, Porcini wild mashroom from Karlovac area. It fited well in vegetables stew, giving it deeper flavor

River view from Knin Fortress. Torquois colored Krka river slowly meander towards Adriatic sea. Fortress is huge, 1h alone just walking around. Ottomans never conquered this massive structure

Variety of white truffle found during truffle hunt in Motovun forest, Istria. It looks ugly, but it's smell is overwhelming. Gonna finish in some meal anyway eg pasta, steak...

Foodie's dream - visiting aging room of Istrian prosciutto. Smells, meat texture, hungry eyes... I enjoyed some with sheep milk cheese, red Teran wine and local olive-oil at Agritourism Stojsic, near Cerovlje town in Istria
