A special thank you to the FIFA president.

By forcing Haiti to change its jersey because of the November 18 symbol, you unintentionally gave it worldwide attention. Millions of people who had never heard of its meaning are now asking questions and learning about Haiti’s history.

What was meant to reduce its visibility only made it more popular.

November 18 is more than a date. It is part of our identity, our history, and our pride. 🇭🇹

Thank you for helping the world discover it.

Resilience is an understatement when it comes to Haiti. Despite everything we’ve faced, we qualified for the World Cup, and now we’re stepping onto the field to face some of the biggest soccer nations in the world. Nou la toujou, and we’re ready.

🌍 Many Caribbean countries proudly call themselves the West Indies, but have you ever wondered where that name really comes from? 🤔

When Christopher Columbus set sail searching for a route to India, he ended up in our region — the Caribbean.
Thinking he had reached India, he called the people he met “Indians”, and our islands became known as the “West Indies.”

It’s time we dig deeper into our true history and reclaim our identity. ✊🏾

Pour qu’un candidat soit réellement considéré par le peuple, il faut qu’il vive en Haïti avec sa famille.
Il ne peut pas prétendre comprendre la réalité du pays pendant que sa femme et ses enfants vivent à l’étranger.
S’il veut que sa famille ait accès à un bon hôpital, qu’il en construise un ici.
S’il veut une bonne école, qu’il en crée une ici.
C’est seulement ainsi qu’il ressentira les vrais besoins du peuple et agira pour le bien du pays. 🇭🇹
