Why is Liberty Bridge my favorite bridge in Budapest? 💚

Its unmistakable green design, beautiful historic details, a tiny hidden Franz Joseph statue and those classic yellow Budapest trams make it one of the most photogenic spots in the city. 📸🚋

And there’s a lot more history hidden in this bridge than you might expect!

Over the years one place we regularly return to in Budapest is the Hungarian Parliament building. A jewel of the city and the Danube riverside, I always enjoy to find new angles to snap photos of it.📸😊

I like to go through my old photos from time to time, and - understandibly - this is the building of Budapest I have the most photos of.

We were recently invited to try the dishes of Meshuga* in Budapest, and we had a really lovely and suprising food experience there! 😋

We tried many of their Vegetarian dishes and some meat options as well, and they were all really tasty. They weren't just visually impressive, but they all had some suprising twists and turns that added more to the eating experience!🥘

Recently we went out with family to Celebrate at one of my favourite locations in Budapest: Vígvarjú Restaurant 😊

The place just can't disappoint! This time we had their foie gras terrine, their Gulyás Soup, and also tried a dish that I would describe as a reimagined Túrós Csusza. With a slice of pork and a layered deliciousness of pasta, curd and sour cream. But we also had a vegan miso roasted cabbage 😋

Lovely experience overall as always 😊

It's always fun to see how I can photograph them, especially the older vehicles with some of the iconic Budapest attractions in the background! 🏛️

Two tiny new residents have appeared in Budapest! 🦉🐇

Mihály Kolodko’s newest mini statues feature Doktor Bubó, the famous doctor from the classic Hungarian cartoon "Kérem a következőt!" (Next one please!), and a little Healing Rabbit waiting nearby as his patient.

And the location couldn’t be more appropriate: they can be found at the Bethesda Children’s Hospital in Budapest. 🏥

One of Budapest’s recently missing mini statues wasn’t actually stolen.

Mihály Kolodko’s tiny Forklift at Liberty Square was removed by Péter Párkányi Raab, the artist behind the larger monument it had been attached to. The two artists have since publicly disputed what was agreed between them and whether the addition infringed on the original artwork.

But this unusual disagreement also puts the spotlight back on the controversial Memorial for Victims of the German Occupation, and the much bigger historical debate surrounding it.
