Water might smell like chrorine, but safe to drink and refreshend.

If you buy bottles in shops, by local mineral waters🦩PINK stands for stil water, 🔵BLUE for sparkling (green: mildly sparkling, white: extra sparkling - good for fröccs/spritzer/Weinschorle).

We sometimes stop by the House of Hungarian Photography in My Manó Café to cool down / warm up. The logo of the café is a cherub with a coffee cup, because on the wall you can see another cherub with a camera.

Mai Manó opened his photo studio in the building in 1894, with a solar studio (there was no electric lighting yet). They made photos also for the royal family. You can see the solar studio with the painted backgrounds if you
visit one of the photo exhibitions of the best artists in the world hosted in the house. There is a small but really good photo book store over the café if you don't want to buy touristic but artistic books and postcards.

The exhibitions and the store are closed on Mondays, like most of the museums in Budapest.

And the café is inspired by a Marroccan coffeeshop in Amsterdam, often with fresh homemade pie! 🥮

Morgen opent in de Burgt (in het Koninklijk Paleis te Buda), in het Historisch Museum van Boedapest een tentoonstelling over de KINDERTREINEN: na de eerste wereldoorlog werden een heleboel Hongaarse kinderen naar Nederland en België gebracht om hun aantesterken. Bedankt! Köszönjük!

Bestemming: Hoop. De internationale kindertrein-actie in het interbellum
