Tom's Budapest - Travel tips Tourist information & my top tips for enjoying Budapest

Discover Budapest with a local Hi, My name is Tom or Tamás in Hungarian, a local guy from Budapest.

I live in the center and work as a librarian. I am also a licensed tour guide and in my spare time I love exploring my city. I love going around, visiting museums, concerts and plays. I appreciate tasty food, so regularly visit good restaurants and wine tastings. Then if I want to relax I do some swimming in one of the relaxing baths or hiking in the nearby hills. I love my city and I want you to

love it, too. I would like to give you good tips about where to go and what to do in Budapest. You can write to me here or send me an e-mail with any question about my city or Hungary. I will be glad to send you my best answer. If you want you can explore the city with me. I do an entertaining and informative walking tour which shows you the best and most interesting parts of the city and it is a good introduction to Budapest and to Hungary. Because I make my living from working as a librarian, I do these tours mainly for having fun and meeting new people. I do not have to do it every day, so I can remain enthusiastic about my city. I am doing these tours only for a few people, so they are always very personal and you will get all the answers to all your questions. I will show you Budapest as I would show it to one of my friends. And how much does it cost? If you liked the walk, you can support my walking project with any amount of money or inviting me for a drink or meal, but it is absolutely not necessary.
