Some of the hardest clients to surprise are the ones who have already travelled Europe extensively.
For tour operators and travel designers, the answer is not necessarily another country, another capital or a longer list of landmarks. It can be a different way of combining places they would rarely encounter in the same journey.
Antwerp brings fashion, diamonds and Flemish culture into the programme. Luxembourg creates a deliberate pause between the more familiar European routes. Reims and Épernay close the journey below ground, through Ch*****ne houses, chalk cellars and private tastings.
The result is a seven-day programme designed for repeat Europe travellers who still want discovery, but no longer need the obvious version of the continent.
A strong itinerary does not have to show clients more Europe.
It has to show them a Europe they have not experienced yet.
