Beyond city breaks and cultural tours, we also love showing Hungary through active experiences. 🥾

One of our favourite ongoing programs is our Walking Holiday in the Danube Bend region, organised together with our trusted partner, the Hotel Visegrád. Each day, our walking leaders guide guests through the hills and forests around Visegrád, along scenic trails with breathtaking panoramic views over the Danube Bend.

Hungary may not have the highest mountains, but its hiking routes can still be wonderfully challenging — and incredibly rewarding for nature lovers and active travellers alike.

This year, we were especially happy to welcome returning guests on the tour again. For us, that is the best feedback we can receive. ✨

Beyond Budapest – Discover Vác this late spring 🌿

Just 40 minutes north of Budapest, offers one of the most atmospheric day trips in the Danube Bend - ideal for groups looking to experience a different side of .

The town’s elegant triangular Baroque main square feels almost Mediterranean with its colourful historic buildings, café terraces, charming fountains and the iconic music pavilion, where melodies play throughout the day. A perfect setting for a slower-paced afternoon between programmes. ⛲‍

From there, the Danube promenade leads along one of Hungary’s longest riverside walkways, with views of the river on one side and the remains of the medieval fortress on the other. The riverside atmosphere, cycling paths and sunset views make Vác especially enjoyable in late spring. ‍☀️

As a historic bishopric town, Vác is also home to Hungary’s fourth largest cathedral - an impressive landmark with a grand Baroque interior that often surprises first-time visitors.

For travellers interested in unusual cultural experiences, the Memento Mori exhibition offers something truly unique: the famous Vác mummies, discovered in a hidden crypt beneath the town’s White Church, provide a fascinating glimpse into 18th-century Hungary.

Late spring is when Vác feels at its best - relaxed, authentic and full of riverside charm beyond Budapest.

Back from Cologne, and we’re still brimming with inspiration.

The RDA Workshop is always a highlight for us — not just because of the meetings, but because of the people behind them. It was a real pleasure to reconnect face-to-face with our long-standing partners and finally continue conversations that are so much more meaningful in person.

We were excited to share what’s new in Hungary — fresh experiences, evolving destinations, and ideas that make travel here even more compelling for international guests. From Budapest’s ever-changing cultural scene to unique countryside programs, there’s a lot to look forward to.

Just as importantly, we’re hopeful that the many great discussions we had will soon turn into new collaborations and exciting projects.

Thank you to everyone we met — see you soon in Hungary?

Imagine a spring evening by the Danube, soft lights reflecting on the water as illuminated boats slowly glide past and music fills the riverside air. ✨

On 30 April, the traditional Lantern Boat Parade returns to Esztergom, where creatively decorated boats and small vessels move along the Little Danube, creating a magical atmosphere with the Basilica rising above the skyline. 🚤

During the same days, the town hosts live concerts and street-food experiences, turning the riverside into a lively spring festival setting. 🎉🎵

Located in the Danube Bend, just about 1 hour from Budapest, Esztergom is an easy and attractive excursion option alongside a capital stay.

Even better: all programmes are free to attend.

If your groups are travelling in Hungary this spring, this is a memorable local experience worth adding to the itinerary.

Extend the Budapest experience – favourite countryside add-ons for your groups

Many travellers are ready to discover more of Hungary beyond the capital, and the good news is that several attractive countryside experiences can be added smoothly to a classic Budapest program, whether as half-day or full-day excursions, or even as an overnight extension.

Some favourites our partners regularly choose:

📍 𝗧𝗮𝘁𝗮 – a charming lakeside town about 1 hour from Budapest, known for its views of the castle, peaceful promenades, and the light active outdoor activities available on and around Lake Öreg (Old Lake)

📍 𝗘𝘁𝘆𝗲𝗸– Hungary’s closest wine village to Budapest, perfect for wine tastings combined with artisan cheese and local ham specialties

📍 𝗧𝗼𝗸𝗮𝗷 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 – a UNESCO-listed wine destination, ideal for a 1-night extension with cellar visits and the chance to meet local winemakers personally

These countryside activities are easy to integrate yet add genuine authenticity and variety to your Hungarian itinerary.

We are happy to assist with tailor-made itinerary ideas for your next group visiting .

At the end of March, we had the pleasure of joining an inspiring B2B workshop organized by Visit Hungary, set in the heart of Italy’s Valpolicella wine region, between Verona and Lake Garda.

36 Italian buyers and 15 Hungarian suppliers spent two intensive days in one-to-one meetings and rich networking moments at Villa Quaranta Wine Hotel & Spa - shared lunches, elegant dinners, and a memorable wine tasting - creating opportunities for genuine connections. 🍇🍷

Highlights of the workshop included the warm and enthusiastic welcome from both organizers and Italian participants, the seamless organization, and engaging conversations that opened doors to new business opportunities.

We look forward to continuing the collaboration and exploring new opportunities with our Italian partners.

Wishing our partners, clients and followers a joyful Easter and a wonderful spring season ahead.🌸🌷🐇

🌟 Hungary just reached a new tourism milestone

In 2025, over 20 million visitors came to Hungary, with Budapest alone welcoming more than 8 million guests, keeping its place among the world’s most visited cities.

What does this mean in practice? More demand, stronger infrastructure, and a destination gaining momentum across Europe.

Visitors aren’t just coming—they’re staying longer, exploring more, and engaging deeply with local experiences.

Record air traffic at Liszt Ferenc International Airport is making more accessible than ever.

Hungary is now at a stage where demand is rising while experiences remain authentic, ideal for incentives, events, and group programs.

Right now is the perfect moment to position it for your clients.

📩 If you’re planning programs in Central Europe, we can help you create experiences in Hungary that go beyond the expected.

Spring is when Budapest truly comes alive, and for your clients, it’s the perfect moment to experience the city beyond the classics. 🌸

A must-see seasonal highlight? The famous almond tree on Gellért Hill. In bloom for just a short time, it offers breathtaking panoramic views over the Danube - simple to include, yet unforgettable.

From elegant gardens to hidden cultural gems, the season offers immersive, story-driven programs that fit perfectly into any incentive or leisure plan.

📍 The Orchid & Bromeliad Exhibition at Vajdahunyad Castle takes place March 19–22, 2026. Exotic blooms in a historic setting, right in City Park - ideal as a refined add-on to any program.

🌸 The Sakura Festival at ELTE Botanical Garden (Füvészkert, approx. 10 minutes from the city center) is held on March 28–29 and April 11–12, 2026. Cherry blossoms, hanami, tea ceremonies and Japanese cultural experiences bring a unique twist to spring itineraries.

These seasonal moments are easy to combine with guided walks, gastro experiences, or even private events - adding depth and authenticity to your Budapest programs.

Let’s design something your clients will truly remember. ✨

We recently returned from ITB Berlin – a few inspiring days filled with great conversations, new ideas and exciting plans for future groups in Hungary.

Moments like these also remind us of the many wonderful groups we’ve already had the pleasure to host.

Today we’re sharing a short feedback from one of our recent Swiss corporate groups in Budapest. With experiences like a Danube cruise dinner and an evening at Aranybástya Restaurant, the group enjoyed a truly memorable weekend – our tour guide Szilvi paid attention to every little detail.

We hope the programs and ideas discussed at ITB will soon turn into equally unforgettable experiences for our future guests.
