The Hortobagy is dry and the first Common Cranes appeared at our drinkling station. We have also observed eagles drinking in the last few days. A few places still available in early September.

Megjelentek az első darvak az itatós leseinknél! A szárazság miatt jó esély van darvakat fotózni a Hortobágyon. Az elmúlt napokban már többször megfigyeltünk ivó darvakat és sasokat a gólyás lesnél. Szeptember 10-ig még van néhány nap, amikor a les bérelhető!

Our spring-summer hide photography tours finished now in Hungary! It was a great season again but we had a very dry spring in the Hortobagy National Park. In August we have a little rest and the Crane Photography season is starting soon! Have a great summer! Sakertour team

Márton Molnár's report of our annual Danube Delta and Dobrdudja in Spring tour has just been uploaded to our website. As usual all goodies have been seen this year again including such great birds like Dalmatian Pelican, Levant Sparrowhawk, Broad-billed Sandpiper, Pied Wheatear, Black-headed Bunting, Sombre Tit, Paddyfield Warbler or Rosy Starling.

We are just about to depart to Transylvania from the Hortobágy during the Hungary-Transylvania GT. A set of Great Snipes were seen again during this trip's Hortobágy leg - a scarce migrant in the region and what a bird. The fine ornamentation on the upper wing is different in every individual and worth to study.
