The annual bird report from the Hortobagy just been published by HEA.

❗️❗️Megjelent A Hortobágy madárvilága – 2025. évi jelentés! 🐦🌾

Egy teljes év madártani történései, megfigyelései és felmérési eredményei a Hortobágyról – egy kiadványban összegyűjtve.

A jelentés a Hortobágy Természetvédelmi Egyesület és a Hortobágyi Nemzeti Park Igazgatóság közös munkájának eredménye. 🤝💚

A kiadvány mögött rengeteg terepen töltött óra, adatgyűjtés és feldolgozás áll: a HNPI munkatársainak és a HTE tagságának egész éves felmérései és megfigyelései.

🔭 Igyekeztünk semmit sem kihagyni abból, ami 2025-ben a Hortobágy madárvilágában történt.

Most pedig az elkészült jelentést mindenki számára szabadon elérhetővé tesszük.

📚 Madarászoknak, természetvédőknek, kutatóknak és mindenkinek, aki kíváncsi arra, mi történt egy év alatt a Hortobágy madárvilágában.

The Birds of Hortobágy – 2025 Report has been published! 🐦🌾

A full year of ornithological events, observations and survey results from Hortobágy — all collected in one publication.

The report is the result of a joint effort by the Hortobágy Environmental Association and the Hortobágy National Park Directorate. 🤝💚

Behind this publication are countless hours spent in the field, data collection and processing, as well as year-round surveys and observations carried out by HNPI staff and members of the HEA.

🔭 We have tried to leave nothing out of what happened in the birdlife of Hortobágy in 2025.

And now, we are making the completed report freely available to everyone.

📚 For birdwatchers, conservationists, researchers, and anyone curious about what happened in the birdlife of Hortobágy over the course of a year.

Our targets include two rare geese: Red-breasted and Lesser White-fronted as well as Great Bustard, Saker, Eastern Imperail Eagle with lots of geese and Cranes! Image of Red-breasted Goose from our last year's tour by Daniel Balla.

The Hortobagy is dry and the first Common Cranes appeared at our drinkling station. We have also observed eagles drinking in the last few days. A few places still available in early September.

Megjelentek az első darvak az itatós leseinknél! A szárazság miatt jó esély van darvakat fotózni a Hortobágyon. Az elmúlt napokban már többször megfigyeltünk ivó darvakat és sasokat a gólyás lesnél. Szeptember 10-ig még van néhány nap, amikor a les bérelhető!

Márton Molnár's report of our annual Danube Delta and Dobrdudja in Spring tour has just been uploaded to our website. As usual all goodies have been seen this year again including such great birds like Dalmatian Pelican, Levant Sparrowhawk, Broad-billed Sandpiper, Pied Wheatear, Black-headed Bunting, Sombre Tit, Paddyfield Warbler or Rosy Starling.
