Hundreds of historic wine cellars above the city?! 🍷 Discover Miskolc’s unique world!

A special experience awaits you in Miskolc on May 23: the Avasi Wine Quarter – City Walk with Wine Tasting program, where the centuries-old stories, legends of the Avasi cellar rows, and the flavors of the Bükk wine region come to life during an atmospheric guided walk.

The tour starts at the Tourinform office and leads you through the city center, passing the lively Szinva Terrace area. From the urban buzz, the route gradually takes you up into nature, to the atmospheric cellars of the Avas hill, where you can discover a completely different side of Miskolc.

One of their most innovative initiatives, the Edible Forest program, connects forest managers with local restaurants to craft seasonal menus inspired by the Bükk Mountains’ natural bounty. ⛵ Sailing Race in Miskolc – boats take over the Bükk Mountains! 😱

👉 A truly special sight awaits you on March 28 in Miskolc-Lillafüred, where after many years, sailboats return to the waters of Lake Hámori! The 1st Miskolc – City of Bükk Sailing Cup is launching, bringing back nearly 100 years of sailing tradition to the mountains in a unique way.
⏰ Start: 10:00 AM
📍 Location: Lake Hámori, Miskolc-Lillafüred

💪 Competitors are arriving from all across Hungary – from the Balaton region, Lake Velence, and Budapest – to compete in multiple races.
🏅 There will be overall, junior, and women’s categories, but it’s not just about winning: every participant receives a unique, numbered commemorative medal!
🌊 What makes this race truly unique in Hungary: the boats pass very close to the shore, giving spectators an up-close, exciting view of the action!
