Our plan is to be back open in September after this long time of lockdown and the now starting rain season. 🤞

Actiniaria or known as Sea Anemones is a predatory invertebrate with no bones that lives underwater and looks like a flower. A close relative of coral and jellyfish, anemones are stinging polyps that spend most of their time attached to rocks on the sea bottom or on coral reef waiting for fish to pass close enough to get ensnared in their venom-filled tentacles.
There are more than 1000 sea anemones species found throughout the world oceans at various depth.
They established symbiotic relationships with green algae and the more famous symbiotic alliance with clownfish.
In exchange for providing the algae safe harbor and exposure to sunlight, the anemone receives oxygen and sugar, the bi-products of the algae's photosynthesis.
And for the clownfish, they protected by mucus layer that makes to the anemone's sting. The anemone snacks on the scraps from the clownfish meals. And some of the species can live up to 50 years!
