Once a year, under the moonlight, corals release millions of eggs and s***m into the ocean — a magical event that begins the coral life cycle.
These fertilized eggs become free-swimming larvae, settle on reefs, and grow into new corals.

At Luminocean, we monitor this process and support coral restoration — helping reefs recover, one coral at a time. 💙

During our coral reef research at Batu Singa, our team discovered several sacks of trash dumped by the community — pulled straight from the seafloor.

Inside the bags: broken glass bottles, deodorant containers, and plastic waste — all dangerous to marine life and coral health. 🧴🫙
This shouldn’t be the reality of our reefs.

Let’s raise awareness and work together to stop marine pollution — before more damage is done.
💙 Clean oceans = healthy reefs = life.

Say hello to the moray eel — a mysterious and misunderstood resident of coral reefs. 🐍🌊
With their sharp teeth and intense stare, they may look scary, but moray eels usually prefer to stay hidden in crevices and only come out to hunt small prey at night.

✨ They play an important role in the reef ecosystem as both predator and prey — helping to keep the balance in check.

📸 Next time you dive, take a closer look… there might be a moray watching you back!

Because it’s all about teamwork! 🤝

Clownfish have a special relationship with sea anemones (often found near coral reefs). The anemones protect the clownfish with their stinging tentacles, and in return, the clownfish cleans the anemone and scares away predators. 💪🐠

This beautiful bond is called symbiosis — and it’s one of nature’s most fascinating partnerships.

🪸 Coral reefs aren’t just beautiful — they’re busy neighborhoods full of teamwork and life.
