DescriptionTangkuban Perahu is a stratovolcano 30 km north of the city of Bandung, the provincial capital of West Java, Indonesia. It erupted in 1826, 1829, 1842, 1846, 1896, 1910, 1926, 1929, 1952, 1957, 1961, 1965, 1967, 1969, 1983, and 2013.

The famous mountain has a unique story, where Tangkuban Perahu was formed from the boat that Sangkuriang (a legend character) kicked upside down.

If you have a trip to Kawah Putih (White Crater) you could go to Rancabali tea plantations to enjoy beautiful landscape with the fresh mountain air or take some landscape spots in this area. If you go to Patenggang lake you would pass through the tea plantations and once you see the best spot you could ask your driver to stop.
