Regarding the Eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki

In response to recent reports of volcanic activity in Indonesia, we would like to confirm that Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki, located on Flores Island in East Nusa Tenggara Province, is currently experiencing an eruption.

The volcano is situated in East Flores Regency, Flores Island, at geographical coordinates Latitude -8.5389°N and Longitude 122.7682°E, with an elevation of 1,584 meters above sea level.

We would like to emphasize that this volcano is located a significant distance from Bali—approximately 1.5 hours away by air travel—and has no impact on the Island of Bali.

As of today, Bali remains completely safe. Daily activities across the island continue as normal, and tourism operations are running smoothly. Tourists can enjoy their stay and travel plans in Bali without concern.

We therefore encourage travelers not to hesitate in visiting Bali. The island continues to offer a safe, peaceful, and welcoming environment for all.
