Galungan is a Balinese holiday which celebrates the victory of dharma over adharma (the triumph of good over evil). It marks the time when ancestral spirits of deceased relatives visit the Earth. The last day of the celebration is Kuningan, when they leave earth.

Today we celebrate Galungan, a sacred reminder of the eternal victory of Dharma over Adharma. It’s more than just a religious ceremony; it’s a moment to reconnect with our roots, honor our ancestors, and realign ourselves with values that bring peace, light, and harmony into our lives.

We are very shocked to received this news that one of our loyalty guests (BIWA’s fam) has passed away…lucky that we met each other last January to February 2025 and hopefully Mr. Jan Schenk will have a good place in the heaven.
