Garuda Wisnu Kencana

This activity will be a regular activity of our company which will be funded by a portion of the profits from sales of tours and tour packages (BD&G’s Programs).

This activity, as the name suggests, aims to carry out actions to balance the world, both in terms of the environment, humanitarian aid and animals welfare.

The philosophy of T**i Banda is inspired by the Ramayana epic, which tells the story of Sri Rama’s struggle to save Goddess Sita, who was kidnapped by Ravana and taken to the Land of Alengka. A story of war that is rich in elements of truth and honesty against evil and deception.

The statue of Sri Rama stands tall facing east, accompanied by 18 monkey warriors. Some of them are the monkey generals, namely Sugriva, Nala, Hanoman, and Anggada.

When Sri Rama and his warriors were preparing to go to Alengka, their journey was stopped because it was blocked by a vast ocean. Dewa Baruna advised Sri Rama to build a large and long bridge without having to drain the ocean.

Rama’s leadership that prioritizes the welfare of the people is depicted in this statue. Likewise, the teamwork of the monkey troops who were able to fill the ocean with rocks and sand, so the bridge was completed on time. The bridge was named T**i Banda, which also means bridge of justice.

Taman Patung T**i Banda, which was built in 2014 by a sculptor from Gianyar, is located near Lapangan Umum Kapten Japa, Desa Kesiman, Kertalangu. Its location is strategic, namely at the intersection of Jalan By Pass Ida Bagus Mantra and By Pass I Gusti Ngurah Rai. The location is a meeting point for vehicles from Gianyar from the north, Karangasem and Klungkung from the east, and Nusa Dua from the south.

The statue area, which is one of the icons of the city of Denpasar, is built on a land area of 50 ares with a statue height of 30 meters. The statues of Sri Rama and his monkey warriors are made with aesthetic richness with the beauty of Balinese culture and stunning natural scenery.
