👍 Traditionally from the area of Karangasem, Megibung is a Balinese celebration by which people come together and share a big meal. Spice Ubud and Sanur invites you to celebrate the Balinese New Year by joining us for a Megibung style experience for lunch or dinner on March 18th .‘Megibung’ tradition introduced by King of ‘Karangasem’ that I Gusti Agung Ketut Karangasem Anglurah around 1692. This tradition was brought by I Gusti Agung Ketut Karangasem Anglurah win the war in conquering kingdoms in ‘Sasak’, ‘Lombok’. In the past, when the soldiers were eating, the king made a rule to eat together in a circular position called ‘Megibung’.
