Three days. No signal. Nobody reached for their phone once they stopped expecting it to buzz.

Day one, you jump off the boat before the coffee's even made. Day two, sunrise arrives without an alarm — the whole crew crammed in a dinghy, chasing the light. They didn't plan the picture — the pink sand just happened to be there.

Drone up, and it's obvious why this beach breaks the internet: rose-tinted shore, reef shadows under glass water, a phinisi anchored like it's been there for centuries. Somewhere below, two people are just walking, holding hands, not performing for anyone.

Nobody tells you how BIG they actually are until one is gliding two metres from your fins.

This is an ordinary reef check in Komodo — until a manta the size of a small car banks over the coral like it's showing off, completely unbothered by the small crowd of snorkelers hovering above. Wings out, no rush, gone in thirty seconds flat.
