The artifacts that are thought used by ancient human ( Homo Erectus ) since 0,7 - 1,8 million years ago found in Sembiran Village and Trunyan Village ( a village by Lake Batur ). These findings have similarities with the artifacts found in Pacitan, Java. Meanwhile, in Bali no human fossils have been found that are contemporary with these artifacts.
Massive eruptions in Bali occured around 29.300 and 20.150 years ago resulting a caldera and Lake Batur. These eruptions resulted extraordinary ejection of material far away and managed to throw away millions of cubic meters of materials. So, the surrounding conditions were naturally not conducive.
Because of these artifacts were found by Lake Batur, some archeologists estimate these artifacts were produced when the environmental conditions of Batur Caldera and its surroundings were condusive ( 20.150 years ago ).
