Indonesia has once again claimed a spot on the world stage. Travel and Tour World (TTW) has ranked Indonesia 10th in its Top 50 Food Destinations Around the World 2026, cementing its place among the globe's most celebrated culinary travel hotspots.
The ranking evaluated destinations across multiple criteria, including culinary heritage, regional flavor diversity, street food scenes, fine dining offerings, locally sourced ingredients, and the overall quality of the food tourism experience.
At the heart of Indonesia's appeal is its extraordinary spice legacy and the stunning variety of food traditions found across the archipelago, from the westernmost tip of Sabang to the eastern reaches of Merauke. TTW also singled out ten cities as the country's top culinary destinations: Jakarta, Bali, Yogyakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Medan, Makassar, Lombok, Semarang, and Padang.
The recognition is a powerful reminder that Indonesian food is far more than sustenance. It is a vibrant thread of cultural identity that continues to captivate the palates and imaginations of travelers from around the world.
