Sejarah Humas.

Di dunia

Konsep dasar Humas diperkenalkan pada tahun 1906 oleh Ivy Lee saat ia berhasil menjembatani konflik buruh batubara dan pengusaha. Konsep ini lalu dikenal sebagai Declaration of Principle (Deklarasi Azas-Azas Dasar) yaitu prinsip yang terbuka dan tidak menyembunyikan data dan fakta.

Di Indonesia

Humas di Indonesia dikenal pada tahun 1950an dimana humas bertugas untuk menjelaskan peran dan fungsi-fungsi setiap kementrian, jawatan, lembaga, badan, dan lain sebagainya.
