a fair trade business that commissions heirloom-quality textiles and baskets from over 1,000 women on 10 islands across Indonesia.

By helping weavers to form independent cooperatives, Threads of Life encourages local communities in these rural Indonesian areas to recover the skills of their ancestors, manage their resources sustainably, and to express and preserve their cultural identity.
At the same time, families are pulled out of poverty while building and sustaining their financial security.
