TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
Mandeh Open Water Swimming Festival 2016 (MOWF 2016)
TheOpen Water Swimming Festival is not a race, instead it is a festivities of open water swimming where participants can be of age between 12 to 70 years old, on any origins, who can swim the distance of 2km, in interesting water outfits or just plain skin-naked swim. The category of participants will be Solo, Team or Family. Since the swim is not a race, there will be no trophy, no award, no prize; instead any participants who complete the complete the 2K swim will be given certificate of completion and pins.

LOCATION
Mandeh is about 60km from Padang the capital of West Sumatera Barat Province, Indonesia. It is approximately 70km from the Minangkabau International Airport. Visitors to Indonesia will get free Visa On Arrival at any international airport.
The participants can fly to Minangkabau International Airport directly or choose to fly via Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and fly Garuda to Padang for a nice short flight of 1 hour 50 minutes.
The event commitee will welcome the participants in Minangkabau Airport and transfer the participants to the Hotel previously booked by participants. The transportation from any hotel in Padang to Mandeh will be provided free by arrangement any time of day.

Mandeh Open Water Festival 2K, at Mandeh Village bay, Western Sumatera Province, Indonesia. This is a non-competitive swimming event where you can swim solo, team, family or mix; swim in freestyle stroke, the fly, backstroke or if you prefer the froggy; swim with anything you like, hand paddle, fin, snorkle, swimsuit, ornament suit or simply skin swimming; we can time your swim, but if you wish you can as well relax swimming and enjoy the seawater, the shallow coral reef, the clear blue water in the 2K to the finish.

Free registration, but if there is any donation will be passed fully to the school and university student organizations who research, develop and maintain the coral reef deposits, the turtles, the sunken Dutch ship, the underwater garden and diving playground in the region.
