1) 📍Pileh Lagoon, Thailand
Pileh Lagoon is a small inlet on the second biggest of the Phi Phi Island archipelago. The water inside this beautiful lagoon is of the most crystal clear azure waters you may have ever seen. It’s very shallow and so warm it’s like swimming in the bath tub and the bottom is made up of white fine sand that just slips between your toes. You can snorkel, sightsee, or just relax!
2) 📍Maldives
The Maldives is a nation of islands in the Indian Ocean, that spans across the equator. The country comprises 1192 islands that stretch along a length of 871 kilometers. Reefs that offer bands of color, tiny jewel-like islands rimmed with the whitest of soft sand surrounded by the clearest shallow waters that you can imagine!
3) 📍Bora Bora, Tahiti
French Polynesia, an overseas collectivity of France, comprises more than 100 islands in the South Pacific, stretching for more than 2,000km. They’re known for their astonishingly beautiful coral-fringed lagoons and over-the-water bungalow hotels. Island features include white- and black-sand beaches, mountains, rugged backcountry and towering waterfalls.
4) 📍Twin Lagoon, Phillippines
A lagoon made up of two bodies of water separated by stunning limestone cliffs on one of the several islets that make up the Calamian Archipelago in Palawan. It has some of the region’s most outstanding geological features, and its breathtaking landscape and unrivaled natural beauty make it a must see!

“I took one of the world’s 7 coolest commutes - Monte Sledge ride with my mom, and it was one of the best experiences we had together! 🛷 The ride down in the traditional basket sledges dates back to early 19th century where they were used as a means of transport by the local residents who wanted to travel quickly from the village of Monte to the city of Funchal.

For many years toboggan riding from Monte has been a very popular tourist attraction. The Toboggans are driven by two runners, dressed in white and wearing the typical hats known as Carreiros do Monte. The route down is in a very picturesque area and a thrilling ride of up to 30 kms per hour is guaranteed!”

Usually August is hot and muggy and then like clockwork at the end of the month there’s a huge storm that washes all the stickiness away and clears the air for September. This year there have been storms all through August and I’m told it is still hot and sticky. This, by the way is a shot of our front door and the garden steps/ waterfall when it rains 😂
