Mount Semeru's hike season is over now. The mountain is officially closed for ecosystem recovery. Some says the reason is to limit inexperienced hiker not to climb it during rainy season because the track will be more difficult. It will be open again around May. And around that time, the visitor will be overcrowding.

Two guests from Germany getting full information about noot muskat, an endemic plants of Maluku Island. Located in Kalibaru Plantation.

Kalibaru is a small town in western Banyuwangi Regency. It surrounds by ranges of hills in the west and south, while in the north is bordered by Mount Raung. At elevation of 428m above sea level, Kalibaru has nice cool climate. Coffee plantation can be found in Kalibaru and its surroundings, either owned by individuals, private company or state owned plantation. It has relatively high averages rainfall per year, which makes this area greener than any other area in Banyuwangi regency.

Kalibaru is located in the mid of tourism route of Java – Bali which make it as the best place to stop overnight, It’s a pity if you stay but do nothings in that beautiful place. Many activities can be done in Kalibaru such as educational tour like (Plantation tour, Village tour), Adventure tour (Sukamade Tour, Alas Purwo Tour, Ijen Crater Tour) or Outbound Activities.
