IS 2021 THE END OF INTERNATIONAL TOURISM IN INDONESIA !?
It’s almost 1 year now that international boarders are closed for tourist visa on arrival in Indonesia. The matter was to stop the Covid 19 virus propagation, it does but it killed 90% of the local business in tourism too ! Popular places as Bunaken, Bali, Togean, Toraja, even Raja Ampat saw their popularity dicreased of 60% then a deficit until 100.000.000.000 rupiah for this last year until now ! This crisis had to push Indonesian People back to local business such as taxi driver / food street sellers, Tour Guide / Rice field Farmer, Boat Charter / Local Cargo Transporter …
Until when do we have to wait our boarders to be open again ?
That is why Aikoaka Liveaboard is thinking to change his way of organising travelling tours. We will more focus on Solidarity Based and EcoFriendly Tourism tasks such as :
Activities done with local schools around marine knowledge, english conversations, art with recycled stuff, coral artificial reefs and beach cleaning.
We will do also cooking classes, local fishing curses, Indonesian and local language curses.
We will also look for medecin and nurse first helps, workshop for carpenters, painters, builders, or other artists …
Long Term visa like Business, Student or Social Cultural are now available. Those visas are valid until 6 monthes.
