Some places are famous because everyone has heard of them.

Others quietly become the trips divers talk about long after they return home.

The Alor to Ambon Banda Sea Expedition is one of those journeys.
Over 11 days aboard Scuba Ju**ie KLM Eliya, you'll travel through a part of Indonesia where every few days the scenery changes completely. Volcanic islands rise from the sea, remote reefs appear on the horizon, the historic Banda Islands tell stories of the spice trade, and October is traditionally the season when divers have the best chance of encountering schooling hammerhead sharks.

It's not just about the diving. It's about waking up somewhere new almost every morning, never quite knowing what the next chapter of the journey will bring.

How do you say goodbye to someone who’s been part of Scuba Ju**ie for over a decade?

Luckily, we don’t really have to. 💙

After many years, Max is moving on to a new adventure.

Max has been part of so many chapters of our story — and shared a lot of dives, trips, laughs and good times along the way.

So this isn’t really goodbye from the Scuba Ju**ie family. Just goodbye from the job.

Max, thank you for everything you’ve given us over the years and for all the great times along the way.

We’re going to miss having you onboard, but we’re very excited to see where this next adventure takes you.

Another trip comes to an end, and once again we’re reminded how lucky we are to share Komodo with such an incredible group of people.
