Fresh from the river (history), but pond!⁣

Jakarta is famous for the Ciliwung River, that has flowed since 5,000 years ago. We had a water transportation system at the time, also some free swimming fish ready to for catch.⁣

One of the most common one was gabus fish, which was also available on the swamps. ⁣

The Betawi loved to cook it with Kluwek, to give nutty but not nut taste and darker color on the dish. Don’t forget, have a plate of steamed rice to give maximum pleasure!⁣
Although now Ciliwung River has changed a lot, some Betawi people have their own ponds to have gabus fish.⁣

Click the link in bio to taste Gabus Pucung on our tour!⁣

Have you tasted anything that come out of a bamboo?⁣⁣
⁣⁣
This is how we keep our food durable. is not just a food name, but it’s actually the process itself. ⁣
⁣⁣
We put some dishes like chicken, lawar, and others inside a bamboo. Steam for 10 hours long and then grilling process takes about 5 hours. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
That's pretty long, isn't it? But makes it so special since is available on Galungan and Kuningan ceremony.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Mark the dates to celebrate the goodness! Or simply call us to make reminder and be your buddy ⁣⁣
