Bumiland Mulia Tour would like to wish everyone Happy New Year 2025.
May this new year bring a lot of happiness for everyone, as well as the opportunity to travel to see the world, including railways in Java.
The 2024 has been a surprisingly productive year. For the first time, we could run 3 railway tours. Two of them are steam-themed ones.
The trip report will follow.
But unfortunately, in 2024 too we realize that time seems to be running out for the sugarcane steam tour. The 2024 leg, which coincided with the 10th anniversary of the Java Steam and Sugar Tour saw many unpleasantries which signalling the end of this historic tour.
What does the future hold for railway tours in Java? Our prediction, it will likely to be about mainline trains and trainspottings around scenic places around Java.

We have just finished the first part of my trip report for 2023 Java Steam & Sugar Tour. This yearly tour in the middle of the year (mostly in August) is where I would normally take foreign railway enthusiasts to see steam locomotives, especially in sugar mills in Java.
