🏛️ Capernaum — Where Jesus Made His Home
On the shore of the Sea of Galilee rests Capernaum, a quiet ruin that once stood at the very center of Jesus’ earthly ministry.
The Gospels call it His own city (Matthew 9:1). From here, Jesus taught in the synagogue, healed the sick, cast out demons, and called ordinary fishermen into an extraordinary calling. Peter’s home stood here. So did the daily rhythms of life that Jesus stepped directly into.
This was a working village.
A place of nets, boats, illness, doubt—and sudden miracles.
Standing in Capernaum today, you walk the same ground where faith and familiarity collided. Capernaum reminds us that God often chooses to work most powerfully not in grand places—but in everyday ones. Right where people live, struggle, and hope.
