I recently went for a holiday to Biaro Island in my search for a peaceful haven in Sulawesi North.

It was truly beautiful and incredibly peaceful and so worthwhile. There is such peace, the snorkeling was magical and Chris and Melan are wonderful hosts. The five hour ferry ride from Manado certainly gives it a feeling of an exotic adventure 😁🌴🏝

🍅🥦🌽🌶 MAPALUS - the Indonesian culture of working together to clear the land! 🥰

So yesterday on the way home from the market, I came across this wonderful scene of a whole number of the farmers all working together to prepare a land for farming. 🤩 This beautiful Indonesian concept is a cultural heritage passed down from one generation to the next. No one is monitoring or supervising. People work for the love of being part of the project and all benefit.

The West could learn so much from Indonesian culture, its just beautiful and THIS is the reason everyone here drives slowly and with consideration and patience. Its because everyone in the community matters 🥰
