Gotta admit that this is one of the most unexpected features in any Bali villa... and somehow it’s responsible for some of our guests’ funniest memories. 😂

Between the jungle views, rooftop glass pool, hidden corners, and the occasional tropical thunderstorm, there’s always something to make you smile at Milliways Bali.

When Sanly Liu stayed at Milliways Bali, the room she fell for most was ✨Chaka✨
Tucked away in its own corner, Chaka feels cocooned by the jungle, with its own stargazing/reading nook. It’s intimate, layered, and the kind of room that stays with you long after you’ve left.
We absolutely loved seeing Milliways Bali through her eyes.

Not every Bali memory happens outside.

Some happen in a bathtub at sunset, halfway through a novel, while the jungle turns gold around you.

That’s the kind of staying in we had in mind when we built Milliways Bali.

It’s hard to believe that this much jungle can exist just a 10-minute walk from Ubud’s prime spot, the Monkey Forest.

One turn off the main road, down a small village lane, and Ubud seems to disappear behind a curtain of jungle.

From above, the villa looks less like a holiday home and more like a clearing carved into the gorge itself.

And yet, restaurants, cafés, spas, yoga studios, Pilates classes, and all the conveniences of central Ubud are close by… though once you see the view, you may find yourself cancelling plans.

I designed this beautiful corner at Chaka bedroom as a reading nook. Though it seems to be equally lovely for daydreaming, stargazing, or losing track of time.

The gorge and jungle view does not hurt either ❤️

The bathtub at Milliways Bali has developed something of a reputation.

To be fair, we’ve encouraged it.

Mineral bath salts. Bubble bath. Sensatia Botanica amenities. Soft candlelight. A view of the jungle.

A surprising amount of thought goes into an hour of doing absolutely nothing.
