Everybody here miss this moment so much. Deka and his wife Coktri are all missing the beautiful moments accompanying our guests to explore local markets, temples, warungs, and inviting them to their religious rituals at home. An unrivalry Balinese hospitality. Although they keep their income intact from Auroville Ubud, whether we have a guest or not, we miss you so dearly.

Hope to see you all soon once Bali is open. Until then, stay safe!

Some guests staying at my apartment in Lippo Karawaci asked me this question: Who the hell live in those super huge mansions in the middle of golf course?

I don’t know. I don’t even want to know.

Look at also tiny cute houses on the right of our window sprawling among the coconut trees reminding me of Ubud Bali.

Think also how big plot of land they posses for a living space. Those mansions take the same huge plot of land with this apartment but the different is they keep the space for themselves, while the apartment residents share most of the space with hundreds of others.

I never ask such question.

What I’d like to know when I see you in your house is, “Are you happy living in your house?”

Social distancing expects us to be away from people, but not from nature.

All our cottages are fully booked right now despite the pandemi. Our guests love their stay because they could:

stay in a private cottages and share no space with others (except the parking space).

sunbath at their private garden or balcony facing to the jungle. Or simply meditate with the company of bird chirping.

fly a kite at the ricefield 5 mins walking from our cottage, as my guest Tina did.

Ask my staff Deka to lend you our bicycle for free. More vast ricefields and typical Balinese villages are just minutes cycling away.
