We finally replaced the gas line that goes to the kitchen stove around a month ago. In the two photos this is how they were looking before being replaced. Being at the back of the house it's easy to forget to replace them, seriously. You replace the bottles and think, "I really need to replace that gas line" and before you know it a year has passed.
Well we got some pipe and somehow we got duped into buying the last of a hose that was short by around 60cm. Not to worry, it wasn't that expensive and was gifted to someone in need along with the old regulator and gauge that wasn't giving accurate readings (they didn't care about the readings, the regulator was in much better condition than theirs), So we had to find pipe and that took a bit of zooming around (in Ubud these days that zooming is actually a snail pace zoom) but we found some.
New pipe, clamps and a new regulator = happy boss lady at home.
Well, it wasn't a moment too soon. In removing the old hose from the regulator the line split dramatically 🙀 That could have been a boomer. The moral of the story is: check the hoses regularly and replace them quicksmart especially in a hot and humid environment when they're exposed to the elements!
