On the final day of the spiritual journey, we experienced healing from a Balian (Balinese shaman) and a massage using traditional Balinese scrub called boreh.
Our Balian, Ms.Sari, shared that she didn't formally study healing but suddenly became connected with Kannon (Goddess of Mercy) one day, allowing her to channel this energy and deliver messages. She says:
"I don't do anything myself. I just listen to Kannon and deliver what I hear and her energy."
Therefore, each person's experience becomes unique. Everyone seemed to have precious moments with Ms.Sari in their own way.
Next was massage relaxation time 😌
The boreh used at the end of the treatment is a traditional Balinese herbal blend applied to the body, then scrubbed off after some time. Depending on its ingredients, it can cool or warm the body, improve circulation, or have whitening effects - its functions vary widely. Even professional massage therapists among our group said it was wonderful and very satisfying.
Afterwards, we observed the manufacturing process of woven grass products like baskets, placemats, and bags made from ata grass, and watched woodcarving artisans at work. Handmade items truly have delicate, distinctive charm. I sincerely hope these traditional crafts continue without fading away.
We concluded our journey at an excellent coffee shop where everyone enjoyed their choice of drip coffee and cake, bringing our experience to a perfect close.
