Mount Anak Krakatau (Sunda Strait) remains at Alert Level III (Siaga) per Indonesia's volcanology agency (PVMBG), following a continuous eruption episode Sept 4–6 and renewed activity on the evening of Sept 6.
What this means if you're traveling to Java, Bali, or Lampung:
✈️ CGK, HLP, TKG & BDO airports have resumed operations as of Sept 8
🚫 A 3km exclusion zone remains around the crater — no climbing or tourist activity
🌬️ Ash is still being tracked and wind direction can shift quickly
Your safety is our priority. Our team is monitoring PVMBG, Darwin VAAC, and airline updates around the clock, and we'll flag any changes that affect your itinerary directly.
