Purifying Journey of Yaelle & Sebastian – Cleansing, Gratitude & Connection with the Sacred Ancestors of Java
In a serene coastal village of Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta, lies Ngobaran, a sacred site where the spirit of ancient Java still whispers through the ocean wind.
Yaelle & Sebastian, a spiritual couple from Europe, joined Java Tour Explore for a special Purifying & Cleansing Spiritual Meditation Program, a journey of gratitude, humility, and reconnection with the divine nature of the Javanese ancestors.
Their spiritual path began at Warung Pak Kamin, a humble seaside rest stop that has become a welcoming base for international spiritual seekers and domestic pilgrims alike.
Pak Kamin, a kind-hearted local fisherman, serves as both a host and guardian of this sacred area. With the spirit of Eyang Semar, he devotes his life to serving others with sincerity and compassion. Together with his wife, they run a small eatery serving fresh seafood and traditional Javanese meals — simple yet full of soul.
After a refreshing welcome drink and light meal (following their adventure at Goa Jomblang), Yaelle & Sebastian began their exploration.
They visited Pura Segara Wukir, a seaside temple reflecting the unique blend of Javanese-Hindu and Balinese architecture.
Nearby stood a small Musholla of Tarekat Jemaah Aolia, a symbol of harmony between faiths on the same sacred land.
They also paid respect to a Candi built under the patronage of Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, honoring the holy spirits of Ngobaran.
The journey continued to the Kejawan Sacred Complex, guarded by twin naga statues at the entrance. Inside stood various sacred sculptures symbolizing the Javanese philosophy of Hasta Brata — the eight noble virtues reflecting the essence of life and leadership.
