This is, without a doubt, my favorite tour and route to run.

​Starting from the beautiful Cé Bheag pier at Kildavnet, we set out for an incredible trip exploring the coastlines of Achill and Clare Island. You don't have to travel far before you are surrounded by rugged scenery, historic landmarks, and abundant marine wildlife.

​The highlights never get old: cruising past the Achill Beg lighthouse, looking up at the 200-year-old Clare Island lighthouse perched dramatically on the cliff edge, and getting up close to the native seabirds nesting along the towering cliffs of Knockmore.

​It is a remarkably enjoyable trip even when the West Coast weather gets a bit wild. The route is incredibly versatile—we can adapt to the wind and swell, tuck in for shelter at Clare Island, and then comfortably ride the weather at our backs on the journey home.

A few highlights from the past month! 🌊✨

​The weather? Always a bit of a battle, but SO worth it when Ireland puts on a show for our incredible guests from all over the world. We’ve been delighted to welcome people onboard from Argentina to China, North America to Europe, and plenty of locals—from Indians making a home in Galway, Dublin, and Kilkenny, to Mayo people exploring their own wonderful county!

​It’s truly the guests who make these tours so much fun. It’s even better when it’s a private charter, meaning we can completely tailor the day to you. (Perfect for multi-generational families or anyone who is a bit of a nervous sailor! ⚓️)

​What this reel doesn't show? 🪶

My absolute favorites: the amazing seabirds! Who needs puffins when you’ve got majestic Razorbills? We've been spotting Guillemots, Terns, Gannets, Fulmars, and Kittiwakes daily. Plus... Cormorants or Shags? (You tell me, because I'm still trying to figure out which is which! 😉)

The story's along our coastline and the story's of our guest and what brought them to Achill and for some why they keep returning and others how it will be there favourite place on there whirlwind trip of Ireland.

Memorable Bill's Rock Charter: Puffins, Dolphins & Seabirds

Recently, we enjoyed an amazing private charter to Bill's Rock, named after Henry de Bille. This specialized trip, undertaken in perfect conditions, allowed us to witness a spectacular Puffin Colony.

Adding to the magic, playful Common Dolphins escorted us off Dooega Head.

We also observed other incredible seabirds like Razorbills, Guillemots, and Fulmars, which are frequent sightings on our other trips.

It was a truly unique and successful outcome, thanks to ideal conditions and flexible guests.
