Great news! Viking Tours is resuming daily sailings starting this Saturday the 25th of April! 🌊

We’re also proud to share that our passenger vessel is now powered by HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) — a renewable and sustainable fuel. By switching to HVO, we can reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 90% compared to traditional diesel, helping protect the environment while you enjoy your time on the water.

Athlone Triathlon Club National Event from 9am -11am on Sunday 3rd of August. A swim of the river Shannon and a local run! 🏃 with great viewing from the new cycleway bridge and waters edge.

Athlone Boat Club- Sunday 3rd of August 12 Noon -Water Safety Demonstration by Athlone River Safety Awareness and Athlone Defib Group.

Zone 8 Burgess Park- Fun and Events Carnival 🎡 Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd Open Daily from 11am with a small food and craft village❤️

🤩Meet Michael McDonnell, Viking Tours Athlone (Viking Tours Ireland )

Michael (commonly known as Viking Mike) established Viking Tours in 1999 as a themed passenger vessel. As captain and proprietor, he has become an ambassador to all those visiting Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands and today the business is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Midlands.
