Ballaghaderreen Lakes and Legends Ballaghaderreen is home to numerous attractions, both in the town and in the surrounding areas.

Ballaghaderreen or given its Irish title, 'Bealach an Doirin', means the way of the little oak.It is a small town in north-west Roscommon famed for its cathedral, Dillon House and for its Old Military Barracks. here are also several ancient habitations on the lake called crannógs which are man-made island dwellings dating back to prehistoric Ireland, while others are ideal for water sports such as kayaking and a paradise for anglers. Ballaghaderreen is an ideal location for visitors to bask in the heritage and culture of the surrounding area as well as use it as a base to explore all the North-West of Ireland has to offer. With access to stunning beaches and mountains to the hustle and bustle of our unique towns and cities within 90 minutes drive, not to mention only 30 minutes from Ireland West Airport Knock, this little town opens world wide access.

Please show solidarity for Aisling and her family by attending a vigil at 5pm Saturday eve on The Square Ballaghadereen.

It's hard to find the right words but like the rest of the country we have been moved to tears for Aisling. The recent events are shocking, horrendous and just not acceptable in the 21st century.

We are proposing a vigil in the square in on Saturday 15th January evening at 5pm as a show of support.

Hello everyone!
Unfortunately our Lakes & Legends Festival In Ballaghadereen that was due to take place in August has to be postponed. But don’t worry we will be back with a bang in 2021 so it’ll give ye all plenty of time to practice all your dance moves 😉 So until then stay safe everyone and we will keep ye updated!!
