If you grew up in Leitrim or have roots here, you’ll know that boxty isn’t just food -it’s practically a religion! And while boxty might not be served at every event during The Leitrim Gathering, what will be is the chance to reconnect with Leitrim’s rich history and stories.

A look at life in Leitrim’s workhouses in 1849, with a sculpture unveiling to honour local women shipped to Australia as part of the Earl Grey Scheme.
