A good read for anyone heading to the hills at any time of the year.

Hypothermia occurs when the core temperature of the body falls below 35Β°C. Be aware of the signs, symptoms and treatment when hiking in the mountains.

To all our customers and people who have supported us over the years. As all my time is completely taken up with running the cheese business, Tim McSweeny will as from now actively take over the admin of this page. You'll be able to look forward to some interesting info and great pics 😊

It gets worse lads!
Now our flight is cancelled and we are bussed to Dublin to stay overnight in the Carlton and leave on a flight to Edinburgh tomorrow morning and then bussed to Glasgow! 😑

Just making all climbers in Ireland aware of the ridiculous rules of Stobart Air.
I have travelled many times to Glasgow with them to go mountaineering in Scotland. Each time I brought my ice axes with me.
Today we found out that they will not let them on the fly get as the hold is accessible from the cabin and they could be used as weapons.
These are my safety equipment and the tools that are especially customised for me.
We tried everything, Aerlingus staff where very helpful in trying to make them see sense, but to no avail.
According the people at the x Ray they were not on the prohibited list till 3 weeks ago, which incidentally is after I booked.
That means, no Irish climber will be able to fly to Scotland with their own axes!! 😑

Can't believe I got it all in!! πŸ˜„
